I've now been quilting for three and a half years. This blog is my personal quilting diary, that charts my progress (and occasional regression) from the start. I use it so I can look back at my past projects...and hopefully see my skills improve!

No Sewing Just Sorrow

My dear little dog, Monty passed away last Friday.  He was 13 and a half years old and had been on medication for his heart for the past two years.

I don't feel like sewing at the moment.  Here is a little thread painting I did of him a year ago, followed by a couple of photos of him taken when he was in his prime.

He was a real character and is very much missed.

  1. I am so sorry your Monty has passed. These furbabies nuzzle themselves into our hearts, then leave us so lonely when they pass. Your thread painting honors him and is beautifully done.

  2. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. He's adorable so it's no wonder that you miss him! The thread paining is exquisite and speaks so truly of your bond. Prayers for you!

  3. Your Monty was a beautiful little Maltese - I had two of these lovely little dogs many years ago. I am so sorry for your loss.
